We sell vintage products, mostly from the 1950’s through to the 1980s. The business is run by Annamieke Thomas as a sole trader. It is an online business only, there is no retail outlet. By visiting the site and/or purchasing something from us, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions, including those additional terms and conditions and policies referenced here. These Terms of Service apply to all users of the site.
Our products and photos
All TipTop Vintage items are pre-owned, They may well have usage marks consistent with age and use, and this should be considered normal for vintage pieces and not a sign of fault. We try hard to describe items accurately, making notes of any imperfections or faults, and photographing them so the buyer may clearly see. We try to make colour rendition on photos as accurate as possible, but cameras, computer monitors and lighting can cause variances, and the buyer will need to take this into account. Where possible we will provide results from our own research online or printed material for the site visitors information, We cannot always be certain that the information we discover will be 100 percent accurate. To that end we are not responsible if information made available on this site is not fully accurate, complete or current. The material on this site is provided for general information only and should not be relied upon or used as the sole basis for making a purchasing decision.
Many products, being vintage items, will come without original packaging and/or instructions for use. Where we are able to source user instructions online, we will print and include them with orders. Vintage items are a pleasure to own and use, and stand out from products usually found in modern outlets. However, it follows that vintage items will have been produced under safety legislation which existed at the time of their manufacture, not that which exists today. This should be taken into account when purchasing. We will take reasonable (though non-expert) precautions to ensure our products are fit for purpose.
- Electrical items are tested for working order and inspected visually by us, and any visible faults are noted in product descriptions. We will never knowingly supply any electrical item we believe to be faulty. However we strongly advise that customers arrange for any electrical item, most especially those which use mains connections, to be inspected for safety by a “PAT” qualified electrician.
- Any items which are to be used by children should be inspected by the purchaser for safety and used only under adult supervision if they include any potential safety issues (for example, needles used in children’s sewing machines).
- It is the buyers responsibility to ensure safety, and to operate, maintain and care for any products in a safe and sensible fashion. TipTop Vintage cannot accept any responsibility in this regard.

Images and data produced by us on this website are the copyright of TipTop Vintage, and may not be reproduced, copied or used in any form without explicit written permission obtained from TipTop Vintage.
We are fair with our pricing and competitive with prices found on other vintage sites. Our prices are in pounds sterling (GBP) and our site is set to cater primarily for buyers from the United Kingdom. UK postage charges will be applied by the shopping system in the basket. We are happy to accept orders from abroad, though we ask that arrangements are made first by email, so pricing and shipping can be arranged. Our UK shipping is usually Royal Mail “signed for” as we believe they are a safe and reliable carrier. For larger items we may use a courier who we feel can deliver the best value and reliability. We reserve the right to change our prices at any time, and to refuse orders at our sole discretion. Should any order be received which we consider suspicious or fraudulent, it will be cancelled without notice.
We use Paypal to process payments securely. Using a secure third party site means TipTop Vintage do not receive or ever see any private credit card or bank account details of customers. Our shop ordering system provides us only with those contact details and other information necessary for order fulfillment and for our records. Customer contact and address information will never be deliberately passed on by us to any other third party under any circumstances.
Our aim is to post all items within 2 days of order, and our UK shipping times are within 3-5 days, but should often be sooner. Shipping prices quoted on our site are for UK mainland delivery only. We are happy to quote by email for overseas customers and to find a reliable and cost-effective shipping solution. Wherever available we will supply tracking information for shipments. Couriers usually require a telephone number for the recipient, and this is the reason that it is required by us at checkout.

We do in fair circumstances accept returns, please see out returns section for full information about returns and what do do in case of any damage caused in transit.
We will only accept cancellations which are received before an item is shipped. As our policy is to ship orders in a fast and timely fashion, any cancellation should therefore be made swiftly by using the form on our Contact page quoting your item and order number. As long as this is received before shipment we will return funds received from you, minus any Paypal processing charge we have incurred.
Complaints should be addressed by using the form on our Contact page and we will try to resolve any issue in a fair and open way.
