1970’s Vendex Typewriter

Great little Vendex typewriter produced in the 1970’s for the famous Dutch department store Vroom & Dreesmann.

It really is a very usable small typewriter and easily carried from room to room due to its compact size and weight. As well as the Qwerty keyboard it has an extra key, a unique Dutch hallmark, for use of the long IJ and F for florin (guilder sign). Definitely pre Euro days!

It is in a cream and soft shade of light brown/beige colour with black keys, currently fitted with a red/black ribbon. All the keys, and bell, are in working order. Ribbons are still available in several places on-line should you want a replacement. It comes with the original black hard plastic case, making it easy to carry.
