Where do your products come from.
We use Paypal to securely process your payments. If you have your own Paypal account, you can pay directly from it, or you can use your credit/debit card at the Paypal site. Our checkout system will take you there when you buy your item, we never see your payment details as the transaction is fully made at Paypal.

Product Safety.
Many products, being vintage items, will not have original packaging and/or instructions for use. As vintage items, they will not have been produced under legislation which exists today.
  • Electrical items are tested as working and inspected visually, and any faults we see are noted in our product descriptions. However we strongly advise that you arrange for any mains powered electrical item to be “PAT” inspected for safety by a qualified electrician before use.
  • It is the buyers responsibility to ensure product safety, and to operate, maintain and care for any products in a safe and sensible fashion. TipTop Vintage cannot accept any responsibility in this regard.

Large and heavy items.
Normally products will be sent to you via Royal Mail signed for service. Large or heavy items may be sent by Parcel Force or other courier. However where applicable a local pickup option will be available for you to choose from a drop-down in the shopping cart. I am near Brighton, Sussex if you wish to pick up directly. Please email or call to arrange this.

Shipping and Packaging.
Wherever possible we will use recycled cardboard boxes for shipping. TipTop wants to be green! Our shopping cart adds shipping per item. Where multiple purchases are made and we are able to save on shipping costs, we are happy to refund via Paypal that saving. If in doubt you are welcome to contact me first for clarification!
 
I live outside the UK… can I buy from you?
Yes! However we would ask international buyers to email or phone first so that we can arrange your purchase and supply full shipping options and charges. Shipping couriers change their prices very often, so we will always try to find the service that is best for you. As a rough guide, shipping to EU countries is usually between two to three times UK cost. See our contact page to get in touch, we look forward to hearing from you.

I am having a problem with your site!
Isn’t technology wonderful? We can browse and buy things on our computers, laptops, tablets big and small and smart phones of all sizes. With this in mind our site is using a ‘responsive’ layout which will hopefully cater for all these devices. However in the event you are having a problem, please get in touch and let us know what went wrong and which device you are using, at this Email link and we will try our best to correct the issue for you.
